This Y or T shaped adapter connects to the existing OBD2 computer connection in your vehicle. One end snaps back into the OBD2 underdash location then adding a seperate OBD2 power source connection for tracking and mobile electronics, while leaving the access to the vehicles computer for downloading accessing vehicle codes.
